Course Access
How do i access my courses?
Entry Requirements & Course Suitability
What are the entry and age requirements?
We welcome students aged 16 years and over onto our classroom-based courses.
Most courses are suitable for complete beginners. Where a course is advanced, any specific entry requirements will be clearly stated on the course webpage. Many courses involve both giving and receiving treatments, working with fellow students to complete practical training.
For online courses, there are no age restrictions as all learning is completed remotely from home.
Online courses are open to all learners. In most cases, there are no formal entry requirements other than a good level of spoken and written English and access to a computer, tablet, or mobile device with a reliable internet connection. Online learning will usually require basic tools, products, and either models or a training hand/head for practice. Guidance on required products is provided within the course materials, and students are free to purchase these from any supplier once enrolled.
Kits, Products & Equipment
Do I need insurance to attend your courses?
Starter kits are not included with our courses.
For classroom courses that require a patch test, the patch test kit is included in the course fee and posted to you in advance.
All products and tools required for classroom training days are provided for use at the training centre.
For online courses, you will need basic products and tools at home to practise treatments. You have up to 12 months from your booking date to submit your case studies for certification, allowing you to purchase products at your own pace. Guidance on sourcing suitable items is provided within the online learning materials.
Insurance
Do your courses include a starter kit?
Insurance is not required to complete either classroom-based or online courses.
During classroom training, students are covered under our company insurance while attending the training centre.
For online courses, practice is completed only on friends, family, yourself (where appropriate), or training hands/heads, so public liability insurance is not required while learning.
Once you have completed your course and received certification, you will need to arrange your own beauty insurance before offering treatments to the public.
Classroom vs Online Training
What is the difference between classroom courses and online courses?
Classroom courses provide face-to-face learning at our training centres with experienced tutors. All products and tools are supplied on the day. Students typically work with other learners or on professional training heads/hands, depending on the course. Pre-course theory information is sent in advance and briefly reviewed on the day, with training focusing heavily on practical demonstrations and hands-on experience. Successful completion leads to an accredited diploma suitable for insurance.
Online courses offer flexible learning from anywhere, at any time, using our online student portal. Training includes recorded tutor demonstrations, detailed e-manuals, and short multiple-choice tests that can be retaken as needed. Practical work is completed at home, with consultation forms and before/after photos submitted for assessment. Certificates are issued upon successful completion and are accredited for insurance purposes.
The key difference is simply how you choose to learn — in person or online.
Qualification Routes
What are VTCT qualification courses?
If your goal is to work in a salon setting or open your own premises (particularly where council licensing may be required), a VTCT qualification may be the most suitable option.
VTCT qualifications are offered at Level 2 or Level 3, are OFQUAL regulated, internationally recognised, and highly valued by employers. These courses include a combination of in-centre practical training, online study, written coursework, exams, and practical assessments. Students typically have 12 months from booking to complete the qualification.
If you intend to work from home or offer mobile services, our accredited day courses or online courses are often sufficient. There may also be options to upgrade to a VTCT qualification within a set timeframe after completing a short course.
International Students
Can I take your courses from outside the UK?
We welcome international students and regularly train learners from outside the UK.
Our online courses are particularly suitable for international students, as they can be completed entirely online and carry internationally recognised accreditation. VTCT international qualifications are also available.
We strongly recommend checking local licensing and insurance requirements in your country before enrolling, as regulations vary internationally.
For classroom or qualification-based courses held in the UK, students are responsible for arranging any required visas and accommodation. All courses must be booked and paid for in advance through our website. Payment on the day is not accepted.
Funding
Do you accept funded course places?
Most students self-fund their training. Some learners attend using funding provided by an employer or charitable organisation. Arranging such funding is the responsibility of the student.
Courses can be booked and paid for on your behalf by a funding provider, but places can only be confirmed once payment has been received in full.
Please note that we do not offer courses through government learner loan schemes.
