Students are required to attend in-person sessions once a week throughout the course duration. Additionally, significant online portal work must be completed prior to the practical sessions.
Qualification Content
Aimed at individuals aged 18 and over, this qualification builds on existing therapy knowledge and skills, enhancing technical abilities and preparing students for employment in the beauty industry. Skills will be assessed in real or simulated work settings.
This qualification is shaped by employer needs and national occupational standards for beauty therapy, covering all the essential components to work as a fully qualified laser tattoo removal practitioner. Learners will complete mandatory units, which include:
Principles and practices of non-medical aesthetic therapies
Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic treatments
Advanced skincare for non-medical aesthetic therapies
Tattoo removal or fading using Q-Switched Laser systems
Throughout the course, learners will enhance their understanding of relevant anatomy, physiology, and health and safety for Level 5 non-medical aesthetic therapies. They will also build the skills necessary to consult with and assess clients while performing laser tattoo removal treatments. Additionally, learners will refine their communication, customer service abilities, and deepen their knowledge of aesthetic therapies—qualities highly valued by employers.

Assessments are only applicable if you are taking a 'Classroom Course'. There is a 'in-person' assessment that is carried out by the tutor you are learning with.

We are located just opposite Tonbridge train station, which boasts mainline connections to both London and Ashford International.
We do not offer course kits included in the course price. However, after your course, you can purchase one of our course kits for you to train with outside of our premises.

NVQs are qualifications that are usually completed in a realistic working environment. One of the benefits of an NVQ is that the student can prove their competency through demonstration and assessment.
Level 2 NVQs – equiv. to 4-5 GCSEs.
Level 3 NVQs – equiv. to 2 A levels.
A key part of your course will include proving that you can do certain work-related tasks.
During the course, you will be assessed through your portfolio, where you build evidence of the work you have done, and by observation, where an assessor watches you work and checks that you can perform the necessary tasks.
You will be FULLY QUALIFIED to perform the treatment you learnt. To prove this, you will receive a recognised accredited certificate. This will gain you the necessary insurance to be able to start treating customers. Hampson Training Academy are affiliated with Finch Insurance and you can get a quote for insurance. Yes. All classroom courses require you to practice on a live model under the supervision of an experienced tutor. We sell model slots via our website offering the treatment at a discounted rate for all our classroom courses. If you know someone that would like to model, please let us know and we can book them in. For our Virtual Distant Learning courses you will need to provide a model on the day of your course.
Once you have purchased the course, one of our tutors will send an email to you with all the step by step instructions on how to log on to our zoom account and all the Username and Password instructions, ready for your live course date, however your online theory is available to start immediately.
